current connection #1

Homeroom from the board of education wrote an article entitled Building a High Quality Early Learning System. This article tells us about how Michael Yudin went out and talked to a lot of families about learning early projects fro kids in Mexico and how children could use all the early help they can get.
Michael stated ''Young children with disabilities need these services as part of their early learning experience.'' A lot of students really need help when they are disabled and this program allows families to provide for them so that their kids can have a good education.

Also stated ''I was thrilled to personally witness the passion, commitment, and dedication of the individuals and organizations involved in making sure that families get the supports and services they need, in the language and culture appropriate to the family.'' Its good knowing that people are so kind to take time out of their day to go help others. And to stick with it and help provide for these children.

Next was said, ''Part C early intervention services provide critical supports and services to our youngest children with disabilities or delays so they too can enter kindergarten ready to succeed.'' mainly this program is about teaching children with learning misshapes before kindergarten so that they will be ready to start kindergarten and then they will be as ready as other children that are capable of learning.

Michael also said '' With scarce resources, the providers in Doña Ana County work collaboratively and share those resources, tools, professional development, and training to make sure that families get the early care and education their children need.'' As hard as it is to provide for these families under the circumstances they still work hard to provide. They do what they can to make sure all of this happens.

These families deserve everything they can get to provide from those learning programs. The parents have to go through a lot to make sure special needs children get what they need. This is a good way to help people in need.

short story intro

In my English class, my teacher Mrs. Gilmore assigned us a project. Our project was to create our own character on a website and the create a short story about that hero/person and the life they have and there purpose in life. The story is supposed to be right from our heads and not from another story.

Working so far i have got to go onto Machine hero ad create my own person who does and look like whatever i want. It was fun working on our hero and watching it all come together like a puzzle. If we didn't like what we created we got to restart and make changes which was alot of fun.

In creating this i have found many things that was easy but also things that were very very hard. The hardest part of writing and creating this story is trying to find a background for this person and actually creating themes and places and times. Although this story was a little more difficult to come up with, it has been alot of fun to do.

My main character is a female, named Brie Ellae, shes is seventeen years old, she is a dark angel that has fallen from the gates of heaven. Brie is about 5'6, long beautiful brown hair that flows down her face like a river, she has blue eyes that looks like the ocean waters. Brie is a very out spoken person and also independent girl that will do whatever is take to find what her heard desires.

This assignment was very fun and i have had a good time working on it so far. Even though it had its challenges i pulled through them and have been working very hard. I hope to get to do another one real soon!!!

Teen Suicide, Missing Teen's Mom Says Daughter Left Suicide Note. Lisa Finn informs us about a young sixteen year old named Ashley Murray that has been missing from her home in Peconic where she had lived with her mother.

The sixteen year old left a suicide note, Murray said on Tuesday, which claimed she was upset with the world, mentioning a "watery grave" and a stranger "taking her to a deep abyss." Murray had told reporters that Ashley had been leaving scary status on facebook and how she was just going to do it and other dark things.

The young daughter of Murray is still missing, however her mother says that she believes her daughter is still alive and she hopes to find her. Murray told reporters that she left without phone chargers, medication for her anemia, clothes or even a toothbrush.

Southold Town Police Chief Martin Flatley tells us, "Our physical search of her neighborhood has ended, but we are still pursuing other investigative leads along with her family. We will certainly notify all interested parties when there are any developments." They hope to find her, however suicide is what they have expected.

Suicide is never an okay thing, people hurt and suffer over the lost of a loved one. Sometimes life has its down, but there are ways to come up from them that are better then suicide. Suicide leaves friends and family's broken and torn to pieces. The search for Ashley Murray will continue.

current connection # 3

Teen Shootings since 1996, Infoplease has an article entitled Time Line of Worldwide School and Mass Shootings. School shootings are a terrible tragedy. Losing loved ones is never an easy thing to do. Over 287 students and teachers have been killed in school schools since the year of 1996.

I believe that anyone can be drove to the point of killing a person, however that never makes it okay. The most recent school shooting was in the United States. This school shooting was a tragedy that broke the hearts of many. No one really knows what drove the twenty year old to this point.

Adam Lanza, 20, killed 20 children and six others at the Sandy Hook Elementary School. He killed his mother, Nancy, at her home prior to the massacre at the school. Lanza committed suicide after the rampage. The shooting was the second deadliest in U.S. history, behind the 2007 shooting at Virginia Polytechnic Institute that claimed 32 people.

The Virginia Tech massacre was a shooting that took place on April 16, 2007, on the campus of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, United States. Seung-Hui Cho, a senior at Virginia Tech, shot and killed 32 people and wounded 17 others in two separate attacks, approximately two hours apart, before committing suicide another six people were injured escaping from classroom windows.

School shootings are one of the enormous worries of parents all across he world. Lock down and more security should be put in place to prevent this from happening. Losing loved ones can be very hard, school shootings should never happen and are easily per vented.

Valentines day:)

Valentines Day, the day for love and the day to show how you feel for someone. Valentines Day first originated in Ancient Rome, to honor Queen Juno. She was the queen of all the gods and goddess's. Now people use this day to celebrate their love for one another.

Love? Everyone has their own definition of what it means. I think love is something that you can only share between that person and you don't feel that way with or around anyone else. Loving someone can be tragic of extravagant, some say girls and boys my age have no idea what love is however i think anyone can feel and know what love is like. Love, however is very different then lust.
Lust, strong but never as strong as love. Lust is a sexual desire that is shared between people. Lust is also another desire that can kind well or end very bad. Lust is a feeling that people want to feel instead of love. However lust between two people can turn into love. But love can also turn into lust.

Valentines day is full of love and lust, its a day to show affection and also to be affectionate. Most people expect someone to show affection toward them on this day of love. Its a really special day to love everyone:)

Every February 14, across the United States and in other places around the world, candy, flowers and gifts are exchanged between loved ones, all in the name of St. Valentine. Having this day is to love people around you and to show your honor for Queen Juno.

book review!!

Angels, good or bad. Can someone over come their harmful life when loving someone? This book portrays not only a lot of love and emotion but also a lot of thrill and suspense. Becca Fitzpatrick, author of the Hush Hush series surprised me with all its action and passion.

This book wants you to learn that love can over come anything, no matter how scary or dangerous it is. The main characters in the book are Nora Grey and Patch. Two very different people that fall in love, patch himself is a fallen angel, and Nora is a little small town good girl. Even though they have different life's they over come that because they love each other dearly. The style the author uses is very well thought out, it sucks you in and makes you believe that you are the characters and it makes you feel the love and hurt that the characters feel in the book.

The setting in the book is in a little town that is wet and cold. In the book the setting and places affect the characters by having no very good vision and ending up in accidents that become very harmful, mistakes are made because of the setting. Both characters are very well rounded. Patch got his name because he got into a lot of fights. Nora transforms in this book from a delegate young lady to this amazing independent women.

This book makes to different connections, with myself and with another book. It connects with me because I know what its like to be in love with someone that isn't good for you, or someone that is very different form me in every way. It also connects with another series of book by Simone Elkeles'  who wrote the Chain Reaction series. Theses books are very similar and both portrays love and action with in two people.

Hush Hush is a great book that shows love and passion between two people. Its a love story, that I would tell most people to read if you like love stories. Its a book that shows you that loving someone isn't easy, but in the end it is worth it no matter what. I think everyone should read this book!!

cc#2

Today in society social medias hold great influence, if not complete control in some cases, on our life's. In our every growing and advancing life's social medias such as Facebook, Twitter, and Myspace have grown to be a thing of normalcy and complacence, but the question that begs to be answered is when is it to much?
When we spend more time interacting with people on Facebook rather than real life, when we're inside in the dark trolling friends online rather than enjoying the outdoors, when we let the content of theses sites to greatly affect our moods or decisions when they should clearly stay where they are on the Internet. Recently a study was conducted by Humboldt University in Berlin and Technical University in Demisted on the effects of Facebook on our moods, one effect observed within this study was how "women were more likely to obsess over physical appearance and social standing" in response to others posts or comments. In my personal experience this is especially true, I couldn't tell you how many times I've seen a fight break out because of something someone said on Facebook or because they were jealous of their looks in pictures they had taken and posted on Facebook.

While it's true envy is a natural thing, but people who are so engrossed by these social networks it becomes worse according to the study. Also another interesting detail came up during this study on how those who read through others post but never really posted them selves began to show signs of depression. This is defiantly when you know that you've past the point of too much and should take a few steps back into non-digitized reality. Spending so much time following the life's of others of course they're depressed, there not out living their own lives. So while social networking is alright in moderation, we mustn't let it dictate our lives and instead go out and live them ourselves.

Everyone can relate to this article because most teenagers my age go on social medias such as Facebook, Twitter, and Myspace and some times you can see a girl/boy that is more attrative then you are and it can lower your self esstem and when that happens, somtimes it can lead to other unheathly things.
Facebook and other social networking cant hurt everyone, even drive them to suicide, like in some cases. Hurting people for your own good is wrong and that is when I think it becomes to much. Nothing and no one should drive someone to suicide, or bully them. Everyone is unique in there own way, getting mad because you don’t look like someone shouldn’t happen. Everyone is great the way they are.
